We would like for you to somewhat solidify your idea for a project. Please have an idea written down with a more specific direction than you had during our last class for Tuesday am. Your project leader will take some tie to look over it and make sure that you are headed in the right direction. Again, this project should
a. Be relevant to your classroom
b. Follow the Ganske assessment results
c. Be a new idea to you- something you haven't tried yet in your classroom.

I think that after today's discussion of the projects I have a better grasp of what is being asked of us. If you are teaching word study the correct way already you are just going to keep doing what ever you are already doing. I just need to work on sorts everyday. I didn't have any cool ideas for sorts, and now I have a ton. I was always doing the same old same old. Thanks for everything.

You are so welcome. The project is designed to encourage you to try things that you haven't before. Make sure that you take a risk. It's safe and somewhat guided this time- Have you finished your written proposal? My group, don't panic. I wrote what you said as you said it in our meetings so you are almost finished. I do want to check in with 5th graders one more time tomorrow...
